چکیده

Abstract This paper investigates the response of finned piles in sand subjected to static lateral load through laboratory tests and full-scale field tests. Firstly, model were carried out on free headed single different shaft diameters with without fins explore performance under loading. The results obtained from monotonic loading three series combination pile presented. effect improving stiffness ultimate capacity was discussed. An equivalent diameter proposed for a pile, which enabled experimental be back calculated using an available elasto-plastic solution laterally loaded sand. Secondly, conducted Starfin screw loose medium dense approach then used analysis measured further validated against test fully instrumented overconsolidated show that provided most satisfactory match data, ranging initial elastic state limit state.
